EVERETT — Police in Everett quickly caught up with a suspect after a Chase Bank branch was robbed Monday evening in the 4800 block of Evergreen Way.
A man in a golf-style hat walked into the bank and produced a note demanding money, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said. The robbery was reported around 5:15 p.m.
After he was given money, he ran from the bank.
An officer spotted a man closely resembling the suspect description in the 4200 block of Evergreen Way and stopped to talk with him.
The man refused to answer questions before trying to run from the officer, Snell said.
The suspect, 34, was arrested for investigation of robbery and was being booked into the Snohomish County Jail Monday evening.
