Skydive Snohomish is planning activities for the U.S.Parachute Association's national safety day Saturday.
The event brings skydivers across the country to their local skydiving centers for a day of training.
Topics include safety, emergency procedures for the aircraft flight, the free-fall, parachute descent and training review sessions.
Skydive Snohomish plans to conduct this year's safety day under the leadership of U.S. Parachute Association Safety and Training Advisor Carol "CJ" Kolasinski.
Dieter Zube, a pilot at Skydive Snohomish, is expected to lead the discussion on routine and emergency aircraft procedures. FAA-rated parachute experts plan inspect equipment and review any updates.
Activities are scheduled to begin at 9:45 a.m. at 9906 Airport Way at Harvey Field. For more information, go to skydivesnohomish.com, call 206-355-7703 or e-mail skydive@harveyfield.com.
