Ranked No. 1 in the state for much of the year, the Timberwolves were beaten 56-44 by the Issaquah Eagles on Thursday in the state quarterfinals at Tacoma Dome.
Dan Kingma scored 15 and Jason Todd add 17, but it wasn’t enough as Issaquah outscored the Timberwolves 22-12 in the first quarter and never looked back.
Jackson was able to draw to within five points late in the fourth quarter, but Issaquah got a basket from Ty Gibson to stretch the lead back to seven and were never threatened again.
The Timberwolves play Kentridge on Friday at 12:15 p.m. in a loser-out game.
