LACEY — Shooting guard Katie Colard scored a game-high 23 points and point guard Jenni White added 15 points and tied her career high with nine assists as Western Washington held off Saint Martin’s for an 81-71 semifinal victory Friday at the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament.
Forward Sydney Donaldson, a junior from Edmonds, had 17 points for the second-seeded Vikings (18-9). Western advanced to the GNAC title game for the fourth straight year.
The Vikings play the winner of Friday night’s Montana State Billings-Simon Fraser game in tonight’s final. The contest tips off at 7:30 p.m.
