Team response truly impressive

One night last week I heard an explosion outside and all my power went out. When I went outside to see what had happened, I noticed I was the only one without power. As I further examined, I quickly noticed my power box was on fire, and off its concrete pad. I called the PUD night line (which needs a lot of help, too many divisions to go through to get to the actual person) and when I finally got to the person on call, she was right on top of it and dispatched someone right away.
About half an hour later one gentleman showed up, assessed the situation and turned off the power from the pole. Before he left he said a crew would be out that night to repair the damage. To my surprise, not more than an hour passed by when two crews showed up. They instantly got to work and in less than an hour had a new box installed and power back on.
As I watched them work, not one of them was standing around. They all had a task to do and went at it in a coordinated team effort. You could tell they were experienced and confident in their roles. I, as I am sure many of you, had made wisecracks when seeing PUD crews working alongside the road, looking like one was doing the work and six standing around.
No longer will I make smart ass remarks, and I apologize for doing so. Thanks again, guys.
