John Klicka, curator of birds for the Burke Museum at the University of Washington, will give a presentation about avian research at the Pilchuck Audubon Society’s meeting on Friday.

Klicka’s research includes using genetics to determine bird species, and how neotropical birds have evolved and spread out.
The meeting, open to all, takes place at 7 p.m. Friday at the Everett Firefighters Hall, 2411 Hewitt Ave.
