Front Porch: Lynnwood park fundraiser

Fundraiser to benefit Lynnwood park: For the rest of this month, customers at the Lynnwood Macy's store can donate $1 to Lynndale Park, 18927 72nd Ave. W.
The department store will match the donations up to $250,000. The fundraiser is called “Heart Your Park.”
Health makeovers: The American Heart Association is offering a free, 12-week health makeover program, Go Red BetterU, to women in Snohomish County.
Participants will undergo health screenings and set a personal health goal. Women interested in participating should submit an application by Monday. Up to 50 women can join the program. Priority will be given to south Snohomish County residents. Applications are available online at PugetSoundGoesRed.org.
Volunteer training: Hospice & Home Care of Snohomish County is looking for volunteers to help in a multitude of ways — visiting patients, delivering supplies, working in the office, helping with events, etc.
Information sessions are held the third Wednesday of each month and are offered in the afternoon one month, evening the next. The next one is March 19 from 2-4 p.m.
