As of Thursday morning, no new Seahawks comings or goings, though if you went to bed early, you may have missed Tarvaris Jackson Tweeting that he’s coming back to Seattle for the 2014 season.
The only Seahawks-related move early in the day is that defensive end Chris Clemons, who the Seahawks released Wednesday, has agreed to terms on a deal with Jacksonville (surprise!). That means Gus Bradley’s Jaguars, who also recently signed Red Bryant, will have both of the starting defensive ends from Seattle’s 2013 base defense.

As was the case Wednesday, I’ll update moves throughout the day below:
Seahawks free agents leaving: DT Clinton McDonald signed with Tampa Bay on Tuesday, while LB/DE O’Brien Schofield signed with the New York Giants. Schofield’s deal reportedly is on hold because of issues that came up in his physical. S Chris Maragos signed with Philadelphia Tuesday. WR Golden Tate signed with Detroit Wednesday. Starting right tackle Breno Giacomini agreed to a deal with the New York Jets Wednesday evening, the team announced.
Seahawks free agents staying: DE Michael Bennett re-signed Monday, TE Anthony McCoy re-signed Tuesday. Starting DT Tony McDaniel has agreed to a two-year deal worth $6.3 million according to multiple reports. Backup quarterback Tarvaris Jackson wrote on Twitter late Wednesday night that he is coming back.
New free agent signings: The Seahawks have agreed to terms on a deal with free agent WR Taylor Price, a third-round pick in 2010 who has missed the last two seasons with foot injury. Price has a lot of athletic upside, but little production in his NFL career.
Cap casualties: DE Chris Clemons was released Wednesday in a move that had been expected. He agreed to a deal with Jacksonville Thursday. DE Red Bryant was released earlier this month and has since signed with Jacksonville. WR Sidney Rice was released at the same time and remains unsigned.
Reports, rumors, visits, etc.: Vikings DE Jared Allen, Cowboys DT Jason Hatcher and Packers TE Jermichael Finley are all scheduled to visit Seattle. UPDATE: Hatcher signed with Washington. Also, there is reportedly mutual interest between Finley and Seattle if his neck injury checks out.
Seahawks CB Walter Thurmond visited the Jaguars. He reportedly is returning to Seattle from Jacksonville to meet with the Seahawks, so don’t assume Thurmond is gone just yet. UPDATE: Thurmond Tweeted he’s also visiting the 49ers. CB Brandon Browner is reportedly taking his first free agency visit to New England, and will also visit Washington.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Seahawks have interest in bringing Sidney Rice back, a player they cut to save cap space earlier in the offseason. If the price is right, the move absolutely makes sense for the Seahawks, who are now a bit thin at receiver following Golden Tate’s decision to sign with Detroit. If Rice is healthy, a huge if, he would give the Seahawks size at receiver that they don’t have. Rice tore his ACL in October, and even before that didn’t appear to be at full speed having gone to Switzerland for treatment on his knee during training camp.
Obviously the Seahawks won’t spend big to bring Rice back, but if there isn’t much of a market for him given his injury history—Rice missed the end of the 2011 season after multiple concussions, then had surgery on both shoulders that offseason, the suffered the knee injury last year—he could be a relatively inexpensive risk worth taking for Seattle.
