Man dead in apparent lawn mower accident on golf course

TULALIP — Officials on Friday were investigating what appeared to be a fatal accident involving a lawn mower at the Battle Creek Golf Course in Tulalip.
Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies believe that the lawn mower could have flipped over and landed on top of the man, agency spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
Identification of the man, as well as confirmation of how he died, is being investigated by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner, she said.
Deputies were told that the man was found on the golf course at 1:19 p.m.
No additional details — including his age and hometown — were immediately available.
