Officers were summoned just after 10:15 p.m. to the 3100 block of W. Mukilteo Boulevard by people who heard the crash. They arrived to find neighbors performing CPR on an injured man in the street. The man died at the scene, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said.
Another man ran from the Jeep after the crash. A search was conducted using police dogs, but without immediate success. He was found hours later and detained for questioning. A woman believed associated with Jeep also was being questioned, Snell said. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries that weren’t believed to be life threatening.
No information about those involved in the crash was immediately available. The roadway was closed for several hours while police gathered evidence from the crash scene.
