PORTLAND — A 27-year-old man suffered serious injuries when he was dumped into the back of a recycling truck.
Portland police say Liam O’Grady fell asleep in a bin filled with cardboard that was picked up Friday morning.
Once the compactor was activated, the truck driver heard screams and stopped the crusher.
Officers and paramedics freed O’Grady and he was taken to a hospital. Police say his injuries are not life-threatening.
It’s the second time in less than two years that a man in Portland has been thrown into the back of a truck after falling asleep in a recycling bin.
