ARLINGTON — The Stillaguamish River saw minor flooding Tuesday morning in the Arlington area, but Snohomish County rivers were expected to recede again by Wednesday morning.
Flooding was expected Tuesday near the Silvana area, including along Pioneer Highway and Norman Road.
Up to 4.5 inches of rain fell in the Cascade Range between Monday and Tuesday mornings, according to the National Weather Service in Seattle.
A homeless man was rescued before dawn Tuesday from the South Fork Stillaguamish River near Twin Rivers Park after the water rose up around his campsite.
He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of hypothermia, Fire Chief Travis Hots said.
No major local flooding was predicted in the coming days. Rain is expected through Thursday, with sunshine likely Friday and Saturday.
Snow already has begun to fall in the mountain passes, but not enough to cause traffic headaches.
