She works hard ...

... but not for Ah-nuld’s money: NBC News special correspondent Maria Shriver executive-produced “Paycheck to Paycheck,” a documentary about the working poor that airs tonight on HBO.

The film follows a single mother as she struggles to provide for her children, while steadfastly refusing to take the easy way out of poverty and conceive a child out of wedlock with Shriver’s estranged husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Green day: The mayors of New York and Boston are refusing to take part in today’s St. Patrick’s Day marches because parade organizers won’t allow gay-friendly signs.

But it’s fine for fat old guys with bloodshot noses to wear T-shirts that say “Kiss Me, I’m Irish,” so go figure.

The sweetest pill: A major study seeks to find out if pills containing the nutrients in dark chocolate can help prevent heart attacks and strokes.

The pills are so packed with nutrients that you’d have to eat a massive number of candy bars to get the amount being tested in the study — a challenge that many folks are up for, no doubt.
