DARRINGTON — Investigators don’t expect to seek criminal charges in a one-car crash near Darrington on Saturday.
Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be involved, Washington State Patrol trooper Mark Francis said Tuesday.
The crash happened just before 11 a.m. on Highway 530, five miles west of Darrington. A Marysville man, 27, and his 2-year-old daughter were eastbound in a Honda Civic at the time. The car left the road, rolled over and ended up in a ditch.
The girl was rushed to a Seattle trauma center.
Her injuries were less serious than initially thought, Francis said. She is expected to survive. The man also was treated and released from a local hospital.
