Prep softball: Shorewood 16, Mariner 6 (5)

SHORELINE — Shorewood scored 14 runs in the games first three innings and went on to beat Mariner in five innings in the season opener. Alison Freise finished 3-for-4 with a triple and a double to lead the Thunderbirds.
