After two sold-out shows at The Historic Everett Theatre last October, mentalist Christian Ford is returning for two weekends of shows, starting Friday night.
“It’s very different from what I did last time,” said Ford, 24. “It’s in-your-face mentalism and mind games. Getting into their head, forcing thoughts in their head and reading their minds. It is very interactive. It will be a more intimate show.”
Everett is in Ford’s blood. His dad, Dean Witter, grew up here before moving to California to pursue acting and raising a family.
“My aunts, uncles and cousins live in Everett,” Ford said.
Ford began honing his magic skills pulling rabbits out of hats as a kid.
He bills himself as an “illusionist, mentalist and party boy.”
He has performed in Las Vegas and at venues around the country. He recently appeared on the Fox show “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”
“I was on a date with the lead girl at a magic-themed singles night. There was a big puff of smoke and I ended up in whitie tighties,” Ford said of the episode.
Ford will perform at 8 p.m. March 21, 22, 28 and 29 at The Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave.
Admission is $20 general; $15 for military, children under 12 and seniors 62-plus. A family four-pack of tickets is $60. For more information, call 425-258-6766 or go t0 www.historiceveretttheatre.org.
