Learn about mental health response: Snohomish County officials will answer questions April 7 about how systems work when someone is experiencing a mental health crisis.
Speakers include: Snohomish County Sheriff Ty Trenary; Mental Health Court Judge Tam Bui; Everett Municipal Court Judge Laura Van Slyck; Edward DaPra, the county jail’s medical supervisor; and Carola Schmid, who supervises the county’s involuntary treatments.
The panelists are expected to talk about what happens when families call 911, what services are at the jail and what legal options are available once a person is in the court system.
The event is 7-8:30 p.m. April 7, Compass Health’s Sanders Building, 4526 Federal Ave., Everett. For more information, call 425-405-0786 or 425-231-5186.
Support Forest Park: Through the end of March, the Everett Macy’s store will match donations made in support of Forest Park.
Through the national “Heart Your Park” program, each Macy’s store chooses to support a local park. The Macy’s at Everett Mall has selected Everett’s Forest Park, home to the swim center, Floral Hall, the Animal Farm and wooded trails.
For every donation made at the register, Macy’s will provide a dollar-for-dollar match, up to $250,000 total. Learn more: http://bit.ly/1nEn99B.
