Suspect arrested, released in North Bend sex assault

SEATTLE — King County prosecutors say a man arrested in a March 9 sexual assault on a woman at a North Bend restaurant has been released without charges because initial forensic test results did not match the suspect.
The Seattle Times reported that the 41-year-old North Bend man had been scheduled to make a court appearance Wednesday afternoon.
The prosecutor’s office says the North Bend-Snoqualmie Police Department will continue its investigation.
Police Chief Steve McCulley saidx he’s surprised by the decision. The man was arrested Tuesday night.
The woman was leaving work at the restaurant when she was forced back inside by a man who stabbed her, bound her wrists and feet with duct tape and sexually assaulted her.
