Prep softball: Granite Falls 5, Lakewood 4

GRANITE FALLS — A passed ball in the bottom of the seventh inning gave Granite Falls the win over Lakewood in the league opener for both teams. Mikayla Engstrom finished 2-for-3 with two RBI and Taylor Arndt went 2-for-4 with a triple to lead the Tigers. Tigers starter Lauren Harding struck out nine, earning her first win of the season.
