Can I just get a coffee? A day after announcing its new Oprah Chai tea, Starbucks says its hitting the harder stuff and will expand the number of stores that offer an evening menu of alcohol and gourmet bites.

We hope they have a sommelier on hand, because we're uncertain about what you order with truffle macaroni and cheese: a Chardonnay Frappucino or a Cabernet Macchiato?



Got my bachelor's in well-la-dee-dah: Recently three community colleges in Seattle dropped the "community" from their names, they say, to better reflect that the bachelor of applied science degrees they offer are more advanced than the associate's degrees offered at most community colleges.

The decision to change the name came from college administrators who earned master's degrees in applied pomposity.
