Support: New group on Down syndromeA new nonprofit group to support and advocate for Snohomish County families whose children have Down syndrome has formed just in time for World Down Syndrome Day, which is today.
The Down Syndrome Association of Snohomish County had operated informally for several years. Nonprofit status will now help the group raise funds to support its programs, such as Mom’s Night Out, monthly Saturday learning sessions and a new-parent outreach program.
