Snohomish County

Thanks to all who make living here special

My husband and I are in the process of packing up our home filled with 27 years of memories in search of warmer climes. I had to take a moment to thank some of the people in Snohomish County that will leave a giant hole in our lives. To my wonderful friends, thanks for supporting and caring about us. They know who they are and you are loved.
To the wonderful dedicated teachers of the Everett School District, for helping teach and guide my son into a fine young man. Special thanks to Jim McNally, Brian Webber and Gail Leamons. To the people of Normanna Hall and our much loved Jo Keck, for being such a constant presence in our lives. We will miss our monthly Swedish pancakes. To the members of Pilchuck Audubon Society, thank you for fostering in us a love of local birding. We also enjoyed our years of boating on Puget Sound; boaters are a special lot of people!
I cannot forget to mention the fine group of folks that I have had the pleasure of meeting through our love of animals, specifically to the people of Rescue Pup and Basset Rescue of Puget Sound. We will continue our rescue work wherever we go. We have seen many changes in the county since we arrived 27 years ago. We’ve watched the landscape change and grow, sometimes not for the better. I hope that if we return someday, it will still be recognizable. Please be kind to our earth and everything that lives here. It’s what makes Snohomish County a wonderful place to live and raise a family.
