Allow me to relate a story from Sunday’s Game 2.
Chris Mast is Everett’s team photographer. He’s a great guy who takes fabulous photos, and he goes way above and beyond the call of duty when shooting for the Tips.
Last season he cobbled together a goal cam. What he has is a box that holds a camera, which he affixes inside one of the goals so he can get some shots from a unique angle. The goal cam caught some excellent images last season.
Well, this season the goal cam hasn’t worked out quite as well. I was talking with Chris before Sunday’s game, and he was saying how for various reasons he’d been unable to get a usable shot from the goal cam all season long. He was hoping for better luck in Sunday’s game.
Then just three minutes into the game there was a crash into the Everett net, resulting in the following:
What does it look like when your camera gets taken out 3 minutes into a playoff game? pic.twitter.com/Bm7fU1zcDr

Throughout the first period he was just hoping his camera was still intact. But given all he went through, I think it’s safe to say Chris earned the above photo he captured of Seattle goaltender Taran Kozun robbing Everett’s Jujhar Khaira with a diving save during the second period. It’s a special one.
