Associated Press
SEATTLE -- Seattle police say one man was seriously wounded in a Wednesday evening shooting in the city’s University District and officers took five people into custody.
Officers found a man in his 30s lying near an alley with a single gunshot wound after gunfire was reported shortly after 5 p.m.
The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center while officers searched for several vehicles reported as fleeing the scene moments after the shooting.
Police say officers performed two high-risk stops and detained five people.
Additional details were not immediately available.
