Associated Press
NEWPORT, Ore. — State police and Lincoln County authorities arrested a Newport couple on drug charges.
Lt. Gregg Hastings says detectives took 36-year-old Giang Hoang Le and his girlfriend, 24-year-old Brittney Wood, into custody after serving search warrants Tuesday at a pair of addresses.
Hastings says detectives seized heroin and methamphetamine, as well as two loaded handguns and more than $20,000 cash.
Le was booked into the Lincoln County Jail on charges of unlawful manufacture, delivery and possession of a controlled substance. He was also accused of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Wood faces drug possession charges. Hastings added there’s an outstanding warrant for Wood because she failed to appear on a burglary charge out of Marion County.
