The Washington State Patrol said Magaly Barocio Valderas was a passenger in a car driven by a 21-year-old Prosser man.
Troopers say he attempted to make a turn at a high rate of speed and lost control on gravel on the shoulder. The car overturned, ejecting the woman who was not wearing a seat belt. She died later Sunday morning at Sunnyside Community Hospital.
The injured driver also was taken to the hospital. He could face charges. The patrol says drugs or alcohol were involved.
