Oso tragedy

Chief’s leadership a real gift to us

Daily, I have watched the Oso landslide briefings, and listened to caring people making every effort to help the situation, continually being there as a support system. The outpouring of love and support from the state of Washington, Snohomish County and the communities surrounding Darrington, Oso and Arlington is unprecedented.
The go-to person, who is making the most significant difference for me, is Chief Travis Hots. His tremendous leadership, love, compassion and loyalty to his community is unshakable. His talent, skills, focus and true grit, under impossible circumstances, convinces me our area will always be a much better place with his presence.
Obviously, years from now Chief Hots will continue making a difference for his people. Let’s continue our support as he leads the way. Prayers, blessings and commitment, from the masses, be with you Chief Hots, Darrington, Oso and Arlington. You have shown the world how every community should function under all circumstances. Your faith, love, pride and commitment to each other runs deep. God bless all of you.
