Prep softball: Glacier Peak 9, Shorewood 1

SHOREWOOD — Glacier Peak’s Callie Bircher struck out 11 Shorewood batters in a complete-game performance as the Grizzlies opened Wesco 3A South play with a win. Bircher also helped her cause at the plate, finishing 3-for-5 with two doubles, with Nina Kim added two doubles as well for the Grizzlies.
