Prep softball: Meadowdale 14, Shorecrest 4 (6)

SHORELINE — Meadowdale’s Julia Reuble opened up Wesco 3A league play with a bang. Reuble tripled, hit a grand slam and finished 4-for-4 with six RBI and three runs scored as the Mavericks beat Shorecrest. The sophomore also threw a complete game to pick up a victory in the circle. Hailey Costello hit a home run and drove in three for the Mavs. The Scots’ Ivey Uppinghouse had two hits and three RBI.
