Susan Kiefer, a MacArthur “genius grant” winner and former professor of geology and physics, will give a talk on natural disasters and the possibilities of forecasting such events, at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Everett Public Library. Spring music The Everett Philharmonic Orchestra will perform its gala fundraising event “Spring Fling,” at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Everett Events Center Ballroom, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett. The music includes hits from Elvis, The Beatles, Beach Boys and Stevie Wonder. The event includes a gourmet dinner, dancing and an auction.
