EVERETT — Officials have made rapid progress this week identifying bodies recovered from the March 22 Oso mudslide.
The total of confirmed dead was steady at 30 Friday afternoon, but the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s office said it has identified all but one of those people. Twenty-eight names have been released. A 29th victim has been identified, but the name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, meanwhile, has cut the list of missing to 13. As recently as Thursday, that list had 17 names.
