The U.N. has released an even more upsetting review on global warming with terrifying predictions of droughts, crop failures, reduced food production, destructive weather and flooding of major cities from a faster ocean level increase than thought.
As upsetting as videos of drowning polar bears are, we are now looking at grave pervasive human tragedy earlier than few predicted.
When will honesty and compassion overcome greed and corporate interests? When will science be our culture’s sole source of opinion on matters of this gravity?
The consequences are such that I feel that the Herald should follow the L.A. Times lead and no longer give letter-to-the-editor space to global warming flat-Earthers.
