MARYSVILLE — Police investigating a Sunday drive-by shooting here have arrested a Lynnwood man for allegedly being a felon in possession of firearms.
A man, 36, and a woman, 25, were treated and released the same day from Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
Bullet fragments were removed from the woman’s right temple.
Witnesses reported hearing gunshots about 4:40 a.m. Sunday in the area of 59th Drive and 93rd Place in Marysville. Detectives found two bullet casings.
The woman told police she heard a pop and the sound of breaking car-window glass.
A Lake Stevens woman, who also was a passenger in the car, told police that the pickup the suspect drove belongs to her. She said the driver had promised to fix her tire but never gave the truck back.
The five people in the car were following the truck because the woman wanted to ask the man to return it, court papers said.
That’s allegedly when the suspect made a U-turn, crossed in front of the car, passed it on the passenger side and fired into a window.
Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies found the pickup early Tuesday morning at a home in the 3500 block of Lincoln Way near Lynnwood.
A man living there told detectives that the suspect brought several items into his room.
Police found two shotguns, a loaded magazine and a backpack full of ammunition.
The suspect, 34, was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of illegal gun possession and possessing drug paraphernalia.
