Building a 6 — 3 lead at the half then adding two more in the third to take a healthy 8 — 4 advantage into the final quarter, the Highlanders came marching back with four in the final quarter of play to come within a goal of the Panthers.
Briggan Weaver had four goals and a ground balls for Shorecrest, while goaltender Payton Brooks-Neal kept the Highlanders in contention with 13 saves between the pipes.
