Helping others

Thanks to Girl Scouts for generosity

For the past three years, Girl Scout Troop 42149 has helped once a month with our church’s community dinner feeding program. This last week the Scouts made a presentation of 63 boxes of Girl Scout cookies through “Gifts of Caring.” When selling the cookies, they were often told by the customers to keep extra change or even to keep the cookies. These became the “Gifts of Caring” when the Scouts asked their customers if they could use the contributions for our feeding program. The same Girl Scout Troop contributed cookies to the Oso disaster responders.
Under the direction of adult leaders Karla Felt, Christy Reiton and Hilary Rummer, these Girl Scouts exemplify the best of our community’s young citizens.
