We were saddened and angry to read about another student at a University of Washington fraternity who fell from a third-story window to the alley below and is in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center. How many falls is it going to take before the University of Washington, the Seattle Police Department, and the fraternity administrators and alumni stop turning a blind eye to these tragic, senseless, accidents? The falls you hear about are quickly swept under the rug until the next one happens — and it will. When will there be some adult supervision in the fraternities like the sororities have?
We hate to see another family endure the pain and sorrow of this senseless tragedy. We can only hope and pray that this young student survives and recovers. Unfortunately, our son, Brett, did not.
