Fight or feast

Sweet disposition: A new study suggests that people are more prone to become angry when hungry. The theory was tested by asking married couples to stick pins in a voodoo doll that represented their spouse, then measured their blood glucose levels. The research found that those with lower blood sugar stuck more pins into the doll.

The researchers will now study what happens when each couple is offered a choice between a Snickers bar or more pins.

Is just audition for Blue Angels: A Russian fighter jet made multiple passes near a U.S. Navy destroyer in the Black Sea, which is considered a provocative action.

The fighter jet never got close enough for the ship’s crew to see who was behind the controls, but the pilot was reportedly shirtless.

Surprise! The Washington Post and The Guardian won the Pulitzer Prize for stories that revealed the NSA’s surveillance programs, based on leaked documents supplied by Edward Snowden.

Both newspapers said they weren’t surprised by the honor; Snowden leaked the Pulitzer committee’s decision to them the night before.
