Prep baseball: Lake Stevens 7, Mount Vernon 0

MOUNT VERNON — Sophomore Jacob Eason, who received an offer to play football at Florida State earlier this week, pitched five scoreless innings to lead Lake Stevens to the victory over Wesco 4A North opponent Lake Stevens. Gavin O’Neil batted 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI and Joey Palmieri went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Vikings.
