Truck slams into Longview McDonald’s patio; 4 hospitalized

LONGVIEW — Police in Longview say a pickup truck that ran a red light collided with two other vehicles and then ran up onto a fence surrounding an outdoor eating area at a McDonald’s restaurant. The pickup driver, a woman seated at an outdoor restaurant table and two others were taken to a hospital.
Capt. Robert Huhta said the pickup driver, a 30-year-old Kelso man, was later booked into the Cowlitz County jail for investigation of vehicular assault.
The condition of the other injured people was not known Friday night.
The Friday afternoon crash happened at a busy intersection.
Also hit were another truck and a motorcycle.
