Thank you for another great article by Gale Fiege. (Saturday, “Lynnwood offers cultural events, parks, public art and much more .”) We lived in Lynnwood from 1953 until 1956 and remember when 196th between Highway 99 and Alderwood Manor was mostly stump ranches and small chicken farms. It was still “country.”
No one could have foreseen what has happened over the years. Gale’s article brings back a lot of memories and may let the current residents appreciate the changes that have taken place not just in Lynnwood, but in a lot of Western Washington as the population has increased and technology developed. The Herald helps us appreciate the history of our region. Again, thank you.
