WARM BEACH — The North County Regional Fire Authority is seeking applicants for fire commissioners.
The six-member board meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 4 p.m. Meetings are held at Fire Station 90, 3002 252nd St. NE, Arlington, and Fire Station 97, 19727 Marine Dr., Stanwood.
Commissioners are paid $114 per meeting with annual limits set by state law.
Former Commissioner Don Wright died recently after resigning for health reasons. Wright served the fire authority for more than 20 years.
Commissioners serve six-year terms. The open position is up for election in 2015.
There are some geographical restrictions for applicants. Applicants also must be registered voters and submit packets by 4 p.m. May 12.
The fire authority serves about 15,000 people over 105 square miles in the areas of Warm Beach, Stanwood and north of Arlington.
