Softball night a big hit with girls

I am a softball coach in the North Everett Little League. On April 18, Everett High School’s varsity and JV softball teams hosted a North Everett little league night — and it positively impacted little league participants.
The Seagull players were role models; my daughter now is motivated to be the best player she can be. She has a vision and a goal to play softball “like the high school girls.”
Having the young girls run out to their favorite positions with the high school players before the varsity game, and the singing of the national anthem, was very special. I am sure my daughter will remember this forever.
The carefully planned activities for the little league spectators during the game helped them pay attention and deepen their understanding of the game. The younger players were learning!
The entire night promoted school spirit. It promoted Everett pride. (Even the other team got into the festivities, which is great sportsmanship. It was fun — good ol’ fashioned fun.
As a result, I am 100 percent sure we will attend more games. I appreciated it. Thank you to all who helped make this event happen, especially the head coach. It made my night to see my daughter and all the girls so excited to be a part of the Seagull team. It made us feel even more connected to our community.
