Chinook fishing heating up

Action on spring chinook is picking up at the usual spots above Bonneville Dam, according to state Department of Fish and Wildlife biologist Joe Hymer in Vancouver. 

This past Saturday saw heavy fishing pressure at the mouth of the Wind River, where anglers were taking a fish for about every five rods. At Drano Lake, boat anglers averaged a king for every six rods, and bank anglers also took some fish.
