Associated Press
HANSVILLE — Human bones found by construction workers at Point No Point County Park in Hansville are believed to be ancient, and the state Department of Archaeology is handling the case.
The Kitsap Sun reports the Port Gamble S’Klallam and Suquamish tribes have been notified.
Construction at a rental cottage stopped after the discovery Monday so the area could be searched for additional remains.
