Remember the '80s midi? Buyers banked on it, but consumers balked. But they're back and reinvented, fashion gurus claim.
We'll see.
The length can fall anywhere from below the knee to above the ankle, but Redbook's fashion director Audrey Slater admits right below the knee is the most flattering. Forget that clumsy midcalf hem.
Pair the new midi with a short boxy shirt or a tucked-in tee to put the focus on the waist. The look also cries out for a lightweight kitten heel.
