The Mukilteo Community Orchestra presents the “Sounds of Spring,” a free concert at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rosehill Community Center. The program features “La Primavera” from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with violin soloist Matthew Charles Weiss, a member of the Octava Chamber Orchestra of Lynnwood.
Weiss began playing violin at age 4 and composed his first classical composition as a teenager attending the Northwest School of the Arts, Humanities and Environment.
He later received his degree in violin performance at the University of Washington School of Music.
The orchestra also presents “Two Pieces for Small Orchestra” by Frederick Delius; Alexander Glazunov’s Ballade, Op. 78; Georges Bizet’s L’Arlesienne Suite No. 1 and Suite No. 2. Preconcert music will be performed by the Sound View Horn Trio, beginning at 1:15 p.m.
