Garden Club

Thanks for making plant sale a success

The Monroe Garden Club held its annual plant sale on May 10, at the East County Senior Center in Monroe under a somewhat wet sky. But what a great day to plant! We say thanks to all who visited and purchased plants!
Club members also wish to thank the following individuals and area businesses for their generous donations: Barbara Evans, Falling Water Gardens, Sky Valley Nursery Gifts, Storm Lake Growers, Inc., Stonehenge Custom Concrete LLC, and Woods Creek Nursery. And we do appreciate the East County Senior Center for the use of their facilities.
The funds raised will provide a scholarship for a Monroe High School graduate studying in the horticultural field, and will also be used for community beautification projects.
