MARYSVILLE — Police are investigating a shooting in which a 17-year-old Marysville boy was seriously injured early Sunday.
The victim had been rushed to Providence Regional Medical Center by friends early Sunday with a gunshot wound to his neck. Police were notified of the incident just after 1 a.m. by the victim's relatives.
The victim was later airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries.
Marysville Police are investigating the incident, but according to a statement released Sunday, they have been hindered by the delay in reporting the shooting and uncooperative witnesses.
Anyone who has any information about the shooting is asked to contact Marysville Police Detective Craig Bartl at 360-363-8350.
