Row has 20 years of educational and head coaching experience at Lake Washington and Woodinville High School, according to a press release.
“Coach James Rowe brings a wealth of experience,” said incoming Archbishop Murphy Athletic Director Erick Streelman in a statement. “He is a well-known and connected coach around the Northwest, and is highly regarded amongst peers and the coaching community.”
Rowe has a degree in physical science from Concordia University and a master’s degree in education from Eastern Washington University.
“I feel truly blessed to be given this opportunity to work with such good kids,” Rowe said in the press release. “I know that the support that is in place will ensure the program’s continued success.”
Archbishop Murphy went 11-12 this past season, earning the Cascade Conference’s top seed in the 2A district tournament in former head coach Jamar Williams final season. Williams stepped down in April after going 49-36 in four seasons as coach of the Wildcats.
