SEDRO-WOOLLEY — Sedro-Woolley’s Kyle Witzel scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the Cubs beat Archbishop Murphy in a 2A state quarterfinal boys soccer game at Sedro-Woolley Stadium on Friday night.
The win was Sedro-Woolley’s second win over the Wildcats in less than two weeks. The Cubs beat Archbishop Murphy 1-0 in the first round of the district tournament, before the Wildcats returned to beat Sedro-Woolley 5-2 in the third-place game of the district tournament last Saturday.
Sedro-Woolley faces Capital in the semifinals of the state tournament and Sunset Chev Stadium.
